WWII Binnacle compass, Royal Navy patent 0919 maritime, nautical binnacle. Liquid compass with binnacle. Inscribed on verge ring: 'PATT.0919 COMPASS No 2131K.S'. Gimbal mechanism, with handle at the top. Base plate fitted so that binnacle could be fixed when necessary. Intergrated hood for oil lamp housing so that glazed oval hinged window could be illuminated. Overall: 31x30x22cm.
In good original condition. Compass moves freely. Collection only.
